The Mugo Project

This is my latest challenge and one that I want to do right from the beginning, so I am appealing to the group for any advice they would be kind enough to give. I found this wonderful Mugo Pine at the most recent arboretum sale. It was tucked behind a number of other trees and while searching for a Dawn Redwood (how do those work as bonsai, anyway?), I spotted it. With what seems like a nicely developed trunk and form, I couldn't believe that it was only $12. It measures 11" high by 15" at the widest point and is in an 8.5" tall pot. I would like to use the pot sitting next to it once I repot it.

What feels like the front to me.
